Dr. Pranali Kashinath Kosamkar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Technology at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. Prof. Pranali is well known for her fundamental and impactful contribution to the field of computing education, elevating every student she has mentored through a consistent, selfless teaching service for more than 19 years.
Her research interests are in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Information Retrieval, and Quantum Computing. Her research focuses on developing deep learning models for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission analysis and prediction from various agricultural practices in order to address the issue of climate change. She has effectively utilized deep learning-based techniques to analyze the GHG emission for different cultivation pattern. She obtained her PhD (Computer Engineering) from Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, ME (Computer Science Engineering) from Pune University, BE (Computer Technology) from Nagpur University and Post Graduate Diploma In Advanced Computing from CDAC Pune. She also completed courses like Practical Machine Learning with TensorFlow, Python for Data Science and Organic Farming for Sustainable Agricultural Production, from National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), and AICET evaluated two-week Patent Information Course, by Turnip Innovations. She has delivered sessions on the Big Data Analytics with Python to selected officers of the three services of Indian Armed Forces- Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Airforce at Military Institute of Training, Giri Nagar Pune.
She has also had great outreach impact through her presentation at IEEE International conferences in India like IEEE PuneCon 2019, ICCUBEA 2018 and IC2ST-2021.
She has been the recipient of Best Paper Award at International Conference on Convergence of Smart Technologies (IC2ST-2021), Pune, IEEE International Conference on Innovating Technology for Humanity PuneCon 2019 and 4th IEEE International Conference on Computing Communication Control and AutomationI2018 Pune. The student project group she worked received awards: Amdocs Young ProdiG, second runner up in August 2012 for Project “SAS: Short advertising Service”, and Amdocs Young ProdiG, winner in February 2013 for Project “Home Automation System Using Kinect”.
She is also the receipnt of "Prolific Women Authors (IEEE)" Recognition as part of International Women’s Day Celebrations
