Dr. Malhari B. Kulkarni is an Associate Professor at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, with an academic background spanning B.E. in Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. (Tech.) from UDCT, Mumbai, and Ph.D. (Tech.) in Polymer Engineering & Technology from ICT, Mumbai. My research focuses on Green Technology, Multiphase Polymeric Systems, Polymer Materials and Structure–Property Relationships, Polymer Rheology, Microwave-Assisted Reactions, and Natural-Waste-Based Product Development. My research work includes polymer composites, fly-ash/cenosphere utilization, natural-fibre composites, biodegradable and bio-based polymers, food-packaging materials, and waste valorization. His current research includes the conversion of jackfruit waste into value-added polymers and novel adsorbents, supported by a ₹28 lakh RGSTC research grant. My academic contributions include 27 listed international journal publications through 2026, numerous conference presentations, book chapters, and patents, including a granted patent for the rapid preparation of a conducting polyaniline–nano fly-ash composite. His recent research also extends toward circular bioeconomy and sustainable materials, including peanut-shell and jackfruit-waste valorization. Beyond research, I have contributed extensively to teaching, academic administration, industry–academia interaction, consultancy, laboratory development, student mentoring, and technical activities, with a consistent emphasis on creating an environment where students can develop both technical competence and a winning personality.
