Sandip Chavan

Prof. Dr. Sandip T. Chavan is working as a Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering in Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University. He has total 37 years of teaching and research experience. He is recipient of prestigious GYTI (Gandhian Young Technology Innovation 2016) award given by National Innovation Foundation-India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. He has also received “Ideal Teacher Award” from MAEER’s Pune in 2019, and ‘Outstanding Engineering Services to Society’ award from ‘The Institute of Engineers’ (India) Rajasthan State Centre Jaipur in 2021. He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Karad. In his relentless pursuit of knowledge, he later acquired three post graduate degrees in his credit, two in engineering and one in management from University of Pune. He completed his doctoral research in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. He has published more than 65+ research papers in national and international journals and conferences. Three papers have received best paper award in the conferences. Six candidates completed their Ph.D. under his guidance and more than 35 candidates completed MTech. under his guidance. He was a member of highest academic body “Academic council” of MIT World Peace University and Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University Pune. He is a fellow member of ‘The Institute of Engineers’ (India).
